Who we are
Indian FM Insights is a free finance education website for Indian investors. We publish plain-English lessons on SIPs, mutual funds, the stock market, tax, insurance and money planning, along with free calculators and a daily market news summary.
What we collect
Nothing is required to use this website. You can read every lesson and use every calculator without creating an account, logging in, or giving us any personal information.
We only receive information that you choose to send us:
- If you message us on WhatsApp or email us — we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you write to us, so that we can reply to your question.
- If you follow us on social media — the platform (Instagram, LinkedIn) shows us aggregate, anonymised statistics such as follower count and post reach. We do not receive your personal details from those platforms.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade any information about you.
- We do not run advertising or ad-tracking on this website.
- We do not use this site to collect payment details — nothing here is for sale.
- We do not use your questions for marketing without your permission.
Cookies and technical data
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which — like any web host — may keep basic technical logs (such as the pages requested and general device/browser information) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify individual visitors.
Links to other websites
Our lessons and market news pages link to third-party sources such as news publishers and official market websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We always link to the original source rather than copying their content.
Your questions and messages
If you send us a finance question, we use it only to answer you. We may remove your name and personal details and use the general topic as an idea for a future lesson. If you would prefer we do not do that, just tell us when you write.

This website is intended for adults managing their own money. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
